Hi Fellow Vegas Pro 21 users. Here's a heads up about issues that might be caused after Update 3 is installed.
I updated Vegas Pro 21 to Update 3 yesterday. Everything seemed to work OK after the two parts of the update. I was able to continue editing and do renders. I hibernated the computer last night with Vegas left open (the same as I've been doing over the past few days whilst working my way through this project). After resuming this morning, Vegas was displayed but the computer was locked up. There was no response to mouse movements nor Control-Alt-Delete. A long press of the power button shut down the computer. After restarting, I was going to use the Services app, which I usually do by clicking in the Search field next to the start menu icon, typing serv, and clicking on "Run as administrator". Today, when clicking in the Search field after the restart, nothing popped up, and I was not able to type anything in the Search field. I did a controlled shutdown and restart. After the second restart, the Search field had the same issue as after the first restart.
I restored the C: partition, using an image backup I created on 6th April 2024. After the restore, Vegas Pro 21 was back to Build 208 (Update 2), and the Search field was working correctly. I continued the editing for this project using the same version of Vegas Pro 21 as I'd been using before the update yesterday. The update of Vergas Pro was the only change I made to the computer between resuming yesterday morning and hibernating last night.
The computer is running Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4170, with a Core i9 processor, 64 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD.
