Confused

This might not be the right place to post this, sorry if it is. Don't throw tomatoes at me. I'm confused about versions. I bought Vegas Pro Platinum, thinking this was probably middle of the range. However, lately I've been seeing youtube vids that talk about things that Vegas Pro will do that Vegas Pro Platinum can't do. Looking in my Vegas folder I saw the icon for Pro. This doesn't say anything technical but the icon for pro is a lot better designed than platinum. I want the better of the two, what's what?

"Platinum" is a flavor of Vegas Movie Studio, which has fewer features than Vegas Pro. There are 3 flavors of each.

There's a feature comparison video with video (that I haven't watched) here, but Vegas Pro has moved on to version 15 since then.

That seems deceptive, but, you get what you pay for. Thanks for the comparison charts, it doesn't seem like there is much of a difference. I don't feel so much like a dope now.
