Confused...

I'm trying to get my VHS out into Vegas. I've bridged it through my DSR-45 and the signal makes it that far just fine. But when I try to get the signal to Vegas, Capture doesn't see it. Well, it does for a few seconds when the tape is popped out or in.
If I play a tape in the '45, Vegas sees it readily, so everything appears to be hooked up correctly.
Any suggestions to capture VHS using my setup?

Disable device control in the Capture tool: Options|Preferences (General)

Vegas capture is trying to get timecode and tape transport status from the DSR45, but you are in passthrough, so it doesn't count, literally.

Did you change your setting on the DSR45 from DV to Video?

rextilleon: Indeed, I did. The little LCD monitor on the '45 we aseeing the VHS, so it was certainly making it that far.
