I have a brand new SONY NEX-EA50 and it came with Content Browser. Before this I had a Sony HDR-SR12 which came with PMB (which was replaced by PlayMemories Home).
I've now come accross a big difference between the two. Most of my work consists of recordings with lengths (single shot) between 1 and 2 hours. With PMB/PlayMemories these are imported as single files (between 10 and 20 GB in size). I have no problem processing these files with Vegas Pro. With Content Browser however the files are imported in individual 2-GB files (like they are on the camera media). I can still enter these files into Vegas Pro, BUT... when I render I can hear a distinct pop at each 2-GB file transition. Those pops aren't there when using PlayMemories ON THE SAME SOURCE MEDIA to import as a single file. I like the functionality of Content Broser better than PlayMemories, but this is a distinct showstopper.
Anybody else have this experience?
Info: Win7 64-bit, Vegas Pro 12, Content Browser 1.1, PlayMemories 2.0.
