contour "mov" files

I have notice that they do not play well in vegas 8-10, blank video but the audio is fine. VLC, quicktime plays the videos at normal speeds with no problems. Any suggests to make these "mov" files work with vegas. I would prefer not to convert a+1+ terabyte volume of these files if I can. Thanks in advance for any ideas! :-)

You need to open them in either Mediainfo or Quicktime and determine what codec is being used.

Then you can probably download that codec from QT and it will be usable.

I used HD Link from cineform.com to convert them to avi files with the cineform codec, when I was using a Contour 1080P camera. This worked great...The only issue then was that the camera was so short, that it was too easy to have jerky footage from tiny wrist movements.....If I was using one now, I would mount it to a pole or pvc and give it a long polar moment of inertia.
