Controlling Media

I'm very new to DVD Architect. I'm trying to follow along in the instructional booklet that it came with to create a test DVD. I think I might have the hang of adding menu's and buttons. I've inserted a media file to my menu. I used the preview button to see how it would look like if played in a DVD player. I click on the link on my menu to start playing the media.... that works fine. Now I try clicking on the menu button that's on the remote control on the right hand side to try and get back to my main menu but nothing happens. Also I can't get the remote control to fast forward, rewind, go to the next scene, or previous scene while the media is playing. I also created a scene selection menue and that works fine. I just can't do anything once the media starts playing. Please help!

On the window at the upper right you can set the menu properties -- what happens when someone presses the menu button.

If you've set chapter markers (assume you have for scene selection), next button should work. Only thing I can think of is if you've imported something other than mpg2, & that's a real guess - I've never tried it. Assuming you're hitting the right buttons (no offense, really), how does it behave after you render your project to your hard drive? Should be able to open it in Power DVD or Nero Showtime or similar to check it out, and DVDA 4 will only take the time to render any changes if you have to change something.

Ottoman, are you clicking the actual buttons or the text below them? The buttons themselves will change color when you hover over them.

Sorry if that seems like a basic question, but I really can't think of a reason that the buttons wouldn't work unless something is fubar with your Windows.
