The employment of MP3 conversion is typically invoked as method to sub-sample your audio files. They will be inherently smaller than waves files. CDA5 is not the appropriate tool for converting WAVE files to MP3, you may want to look at one of many "affordable", "down loadable", audio file converters. Some of the converters provide conversion, tagging and cataloging.

In summary CDA5 is not the appropriate tool for the issues that you mentioned.

For this I use EAC with a Lame outboard decoding engine. The best I've heard. Search for 'Superior MP3' with google or any search engine.
