Cookie Cutter Question

My apologies if this has come up before, I did do a quick search.

Is there anyway to change the aspect of the defined shapes that the cookie cutter uses.

I'm after various thin rectangles.

I realise I can achieve the same result using masks but when you need lots of different areas highlighted at different points thats an aweful lot of toing and froing with Photoshop.

Maybe Track Motion???? (haven't tried it) Otherwise, not that I know of. Can you use Pan/Crop instead?

Sort of tried a few of those things but it doesn't affect the shape of the cutout. I think if I really need the effect I'll just go with making masks in PS.

I was just surprised that the cutter is so restricted, everything else in VV seems infinately variable.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but....I needed some thinner rectangels as a mask - but found that the 3D plugin worked better since I could crop the top, bottom, left and right to suit my needs.

Of course, I threw in some tracking motion (and salted to taste)....worked for me. Maybe it can work for you to?

Thanks I'll try it out, oops.
Which 3D plugin?
Must be a 3rd party thing?

Yup....sort of.

Satish (did I spell the name right) has written some very useful plugins for VV. You can get them at his site (click here). Very good stuff!!

Stupid me, I have most of his stuff but I think when I upgraded I need to reload them.
