I'm looking for a more efficient way to use the cookie cutter to blur faces.

My current technique is to add a cookie cutter and a Gaussian blur, then keyframe a several dozen keyframes as the face moves around the screen.

I don't like this very well because the Gaussian blurred image is not very precise and when I play the clip back, I find that I'm not very accurate in placement.

I'd like to temporarily turn the Gaussian blur off and keyframe the position of the cookie cutter image (maybe as a temporary monocolor circle/oval or ??) but I don't know how to do this.

What's the best way of precisely keyframing the cookie cutter?
