Cool "Giveaway of the Day" picture animator

I check the "Giveaway of the Day" page every day and usually it's not anything that great, but today is a sort of still picture animator that is pretty cool. Nothing too much, but you can animate waterfalls, skys, rain, snow, etc. When you're done you can export it as an avi. I just tried it with Cineform Neo HDV at 1920x1080p and it worked just fine. Just the thing maybe for generating backgrounds to use with chromakey. Not bad for free, and probably worth the $35 if you don't get it today.

I tried it and I'm impressed. I'd expected a limited program like Sqirlz (which I use and like), but found much more. Definitely something I'll be using fairly often. Thanks much for the tip.

Are there other and more advanced programs that can do the same - and more? Can you do this in Particle Illusion, for example?

If you enjoyed Art Studio and you are looking for more then Particle Illusion is the way to go. Art Studio is only a tip of the iceberg of what Particle Illusion can do. Go to YouTube and search for MrParticle and checkout some demo's. Also check www.Wondertouch.com.

The latest version of Symantec's security suite says the activation program engages in "risky behavior" and deletes it, also requiring a reboot to do so. I was unable to get symantec to give up any more info about why it is "risky".

Somehow I missed this thread and it's now another day.
Would you be willing to share?

Sorry Lynn but part of the package you get is an activation key that's a one-day/one-time only thing.

This stuff is useless, you have to download and install on the day it is available or you are knackered
What is the point of that, i downloaded on the day but at night and so decided to install in the morning, Oh Oh no way o-zay.

Also what happens if you have to reinstall after a formatting the drive, again no way o-zay

It's still a very cool way to try out software (which is I believe, the whole point of the site). When I upgrade to Windows 7, this is one program I will buy so that I can reinstall it. Womble MPEG DVD Wizard is another (which they gave away a few weeks ago).
