So, I'm working on sound design for a movie. There are a lot of clips. And I notice that every time I copy and paste a clip from one part of the timeline to another Vegas either hangs for around 30 seconds or crashes.

Then I realize that it only happens when the Project Media window is open. I seem to recall this being a problem from Vegas 9 onwards. I usually close the project media window while working, but this project requires me to be able to access it a lot.

Any ideas?
