Copy events across projects or import project?

Please forgive these basic questions...

Is there a way to copy events from one project to another? The plain "copy" command does not seem to do this.

Failing that, how would I import one project to the other? I can't find that either.

Thanks

Open two copies of Vegas (i.e., open Vegas, and then go back to the Vegas icon and open another "instance"). Then, open your poject in one instance of Vegas, copy, and then paste into the other instance.

I don't know why Vegas destroys the contents of the clipboard when you close a project -- most applications do not. However, this "trick" lets you copy/paste between projects.

Did you *select* on the timeline before trying copy-paste?

Thanks for the workaround John. It's a bit messy, and the 2nd instance complains that my soundcard is in use by the 1st instance, but it works.

Yes FuTz, I tried all that. Do you have copy/paste working across projects?

How about importing a whole project? I was very used to doing that in my Premiere days and would love to be able to still do it in Vegas.
