copy/pasting between projects

Sometimes I split up a project to keep the overview and because of some standard intro's/end's when making promtional material for work. Now thing is when I open a project/file that is finished, I need to put it in another project. Now I first render the stuff to import it to the other project but was wondering why just copying/pasting a text clip for example won't do!? between projects or am I doing something wrong?

You need to open up 2 separate instances of Vegas and copy and paste between them. I don't know why clipboard won't work within one instance of Vegas. I hope they fix this in 6. My system complains when I open the 2nd instance because the first instance monopolises my soundcard, but at least this is a workaround.

Grazie, I mean that I can't copy and paste stuff from one project to another unless they are in 2 different instances of Vegas (i.e. 2 processes).

Er . .yes? And? . . I'm confused .. .

And... er... that's it. I don't really know how else to explain it Grazie. If you wanted to import one project into another one, exactly how would you do it? Perhaps something on your system behaves different from ours.

Nope, same here, it was your, "I don't know why clipboard won't work within one instance of Vegas." is this yours, or others too?

Hi Grazie, well at least John Meyer seems to have the same problem I do

I can copy and paste within the SAME instance of Vegas OR between two open instances of Vegas. I cannot copy into ANOTHER OPEN instance of Vegas and AT THE same time copy to the SAME original open Vegas project.
