Using MSP 17 to edit old VSH tapes. Am publishing to flash drives MP4. What is the best Project setting for this?

The project settings should match your source material. The rendering settings can vary depending upon your final destination.

Keep in mind that pixel aspect ratio of mp4 is 1.0 and the pixel aspect ratio of your vhs tape capture is probably 0.9091 or 1.0926 depending on NTSC or PAL format. Which resolution and framerate does your VHS tape capture have?
