I had some avi files that have been corrupted. It was a project I had done and then needed to go back and change a few things.
When I open the .veg I get an error saying "an error occurred opening the media file".
When I look at the list in the media bin they are there but the open in trimmer option is grayed out and not available.
When I try to drag them to the timeline I get the O with a line through it symbol and cannot insert them.
When I open them in Win Player it tells me the file is corrupt or the player doesn't support the format.
I was able to open them at one time because I edited and rendered the project. The only thing I can think of that may have happened is that I was in Vegas and my computer shut down. Could this have corrupted these avi's?
I thought about recapturing the clips but now I'm having problems with my camera (when it rains it pours, I guess!).
It seems like a lost cause, but any ideas of anything I can try with these files?
TIA
