Could my "Ignore Event Grouping" button be stuck?

I use this button often but all of a sudden I can't turn it off; even if I highlight both video and it's audio clip, it ignores event grouping....what did I do?!

I think it is a bug. This happens to me from time to time. I work around it if I am trimming a shot by manipulating the audio track of a shot rather than the ivdeo. That usually works. Anybody else experience this?

I thought maybe I had inadvertently switched something off or on but I just kept dealing with it and then noticed later that it worked fine again.
BTW, I tried spraying a little WD 40 on the button but it just made a mess...not advised : )

I just had the same thing happen to me. No matter what i did the grouping was ignored. As soon as I put a clip with audio on the timeline they were not grouped together. If I highlighted the two clips and manually grouped them they would stick.
