"Unmanaged Exception" is almost ALWAYS a driver problem. (I say almost, but no one has demonstrated otherwise).

Thanks. It was my video card driver. Updating crashed Windows 3 times, but finally got it working.

Hey - would you believe last week my Vegas pro 11 crashed on start up for the first time. The fault listed was a "titler.dll" file.

Being a fairly simple person when it comes to what each individual file does in these programs, I simply navigated to the offending file, cut it out and saved it to my desktop - and Vegas opened fine. Just in case this file actually does something useful, I pasted it back into it's original location and Vegas opened fine again. Not a problem since.

So whether this is good advice or not, I suggest simply cutting out the file and pasting it back.....
