Sometimes you just need to vent your frustration with the software. I read his post as a comment to Vegas, not as a request for help in the forum. He expects the software to work and gives his computer specs to show he doesnt expect the computer to be the reason for the crashes. He is not alone in this situation. When you buy something you expect it to work.

@Werner_NOR There could be a number of reasons why the software isn't working for him. Usually it's down to the type of media you're working on. There are many volunteers on this forum who are experts and who will gladly give up their time to try and resolve any issue. Is it too much to ask that frustrated users read one post that will give an indication of the information required to help them help you and @michael-h2977?

Greetings, I am new to the Vegas Movie Editing world. I ran into a similar issue of the software stopping and resetting the laptop. Through some trial and error, some patients, and some sleuthing through You Tube and this forum, I was able to figure out my issue. In My case it was a problem with not enough memory and a bunch of wrong settings in my PC. I also found that if I fiddled with the GPU accelerator setting (located in the Video card, and in Vegas Options, Preferences, Internal). I found the happy middle. I also found that if I set Vegas Movie up to format my time line based on the first video I put in (MP4 formatted video), that the program was much happier.

To the person frustrated with the software, Speaking ill of it does not address your challenge and fix the software. There are folks out here who can and will help you. They helped me. Thanks all and Good Luck.

Gee
