Create ISO file using DVDAS

gogiants wrote on 9/25/2004, 7:19 PM
I was hoping to use DVD Arch Studio to create a .iso file to be used by some different DVD burning programs. (DVDAS itself seems to be unhappy with my DVD burner.)

Is there a way to create these files so that a burning program such as DVD Decrypter or some other program can burn the disc image files that are created by DVD AS?

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you. DVD Architect has problems writing to my drive. What i do is "Prepare" the DVD with DVD Architect, which creates the AUDIO_TS (empty) and VIDEO_TS folders on my hard drive. Then i use Nero to burn a DVD Video Disc from those folders.

Thanks. I wound up trying this with the demo version of Nero and it seems to work well.

Anyone know of any freeware out there that would do the same thing? Not sure I feel like spending $60 or $99 just to do this!

You can try with "burnatonce" http://www.burnatonce.com/. It's free

Check eBay for copies of Nero. Version 5.5 will suffice, and it's often available on eBay for under $5.

Actually, there's a copy of v6.0 for $8. Will probably be gone by the time you see this, though.

Is there anywhere on this forum that users could post the model of their burners with an indication as to whether it does, or does not, work with MS/DVDA? I'm finally about to purchase one, and it will be just my luck to get one that is incompatable.

I have a Sony DRU-530A that works fine with DVD Architect Studio. I have made at least 10 dvds with no problems.

With that said, If I'm making more than one copy at a time I just burn the DVD with Nero anyway.

I have a Sony DRU 500 internal , upgraded to the latest firmware and have had no problems.
Strangely when I try U-lead (the cheaper DVD maker version) it wont find the burner.

Anyone have any of the Lite-on products? Newegg has a 8x dual format that also includes dual layer for $68...
