Creating a DVD

Okay, I've converted an avi file to mpeg2 in Vegas 4. Now I want to create a menu driven DVD in Architect. Trouble is, I'm getting old and i'm as thick as two planks. I'm finding it very difficult to follow the instructions in my manual. Is there anyone out there who can 'walk' me through the process? Thanks.

First, go to insert, then 'media' in the drop down menu.
Find your mpg file, highlight it and press 'open'.
The file name should appear on your menu foreground. Now you can change the name, show it as text, or text and a photo. This is the start of your mpg when that text or picture is chosen to play with a remote.
Chapter points work in the same manner.
