In both Vegas Pro 15 and 16 I am getting the following response after the timeline has rendered:
"An error occurred preparing the image.
Failed to connect to an IPC Port the system cannot find the file specified."
I am using Windows 10 Professional

This is a bug there is in Vegas 15 and 16. The development team is already aware and is working on a fix on the next updates.
One alternative workaround is to copy the bdmux folder from vegas pro 14 located in C: \ Program Files \ VEGAS \ Vegas Pro 14.0 and paste it into C: \ Program Files \ VEGAS \ Vegas Pro 16.0
