Creating Lower 1/3s in Vegas - tips or vegs?

Seeing as I want to product news-style mini seminar broadcasts, does anyone have tips on creating professional looking lower 1/3rds?

I have some digitaljuice.com jumpbacks, was thinking of shrinking those down and using in the lower area..

Outcome look preferred is say an animated logo on far left with partial transparent blue bar w/yellow arial bold or white lettering, like CNN etc..

Any tips? or veg files for Vegas 4, appreciated... there's probably tutorials somewhere, it would be nice to see a solid non-amateurish looking lower third done in vegas...

I'll post mine as I work on it, was wondering if anyone else has done slick lower 1/3s and is will to show an example, or tutorial/veg link?

thx,

Ken

Ken,
There are a few of these on the Sundance site, you can create killer thirds in Cool 3D, and Vegas is great for making name boards and other great lower thirds with generated media.
Juice has canned lower thirds, or you can use Track motion to make them be cool lower thirds, or use Pan/Crop to do the same. Add a transition in/out, and you're done.
We'll be showing some of this on the VASST tour...

Hi, sounds great -- I'll take a look .. hadn't thought about track motion & cool3d ... thanks! I'll try to make it to a VASST tour sometime this year or next, should be a good place to learn + see the latest in the industry.
