Credit Roll

Elmo27376 wrote on 2/19/2004, 7:40 AM
After typing the list of names in the credit roll box I want to change the apperarance of the first name. I select it and, for example, I select a different color. When I play it back all the names have the new color. I tried changing the type face of the selected name but all the names change to that type face.

What am I doing wrong?

I believe this is one of the weaknesses of the Sony products. You can ony have one font style and color at a time.

In the Help menu: Using Movie Studio/Creating your Project/Text and Backdrops/Credit Roll there is a picture showing two colors, two type sizes and two column configurations.

Is this imposible to achieve?

The credit roll has 3 different types of lines you can enter - A header, a single column and a dual column. Each of these 3 types can be a different font and/or different color, but all items of a particular type, such as dual column, are limited to the same color and font.

Hope this helps,
Jim

Jim,
Thanks, that's encouraging.
Would you mind telling me how I should do what you have said?
I've read all the information and tried to accomplish what I want but I just don't get it.
Thanks,
Ken

Jim,
I got it now, thanks for the help. The manual isn't very explicit on this proceedure.

Ken,

Glad I could help. One of the things I like about MovieStudio and this forum is that there's a lot more interaction for helping each other out and not nearly as much time spent just trying to get the software to work.

Dave,
Thanks to Jim Frazer I have figured out how to display as many as three different fonts and/or colors on a scrolling page. i have produced a quite detailed description of how it is done. It really isn't difficult when you understand the icons.
If you are interested I'll attach a copy if you'll send your email address.
Mine is kdhodge@nc.rr.com.
Much thanks goes to Jim; this just makes for a more finishes looking project when it seemed to be lacking something.

Hmmmm ... odd comment. Why on earth would there be any problem getting software to work? :>)

It's just possible I was referring to the nightmares I had with another video editing package before I found MovieStudio :) I spent the majority of my time fighting bugs and crashes and not much time making movies. The forums there were predominantly filled with how to get the software to run rather than how to use its features.
