Well now, that was kinda nice.
I could use that trick to put in a reflection of a person on a shiny car hood, even when that person was just greenscreened into the scene. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool.

Which mask do you use? Luminance mask or what?

And how do you make it cover just the bottom half of the track?

"Very cool.

THANKS! Sorry, but I don't think I can explain it any better than what is on my page?

The mask is just that, a mask. I drew a mask over the bottom half of the frame so only the top shows on one track and just the opposite on the other.
There are four tracks to create the effect, two of them have the same credit roll, the other two have the same image. Masking the top of one track and the bottom of the other gave me the look I wanted :-)

You actually explained it very well... I just wasn't familar with creating the bezier mask.

After a minute with the Vegas help, I got that part, then used your directions to make a quicky for myself.

Reflecting Credits

I know mine isn't as good, but I wanted to figure it out before I went to bed, and I know the text shouldn't be reflecting of the sand...

In the Pan/Crop Dialog window at Path and Mode it's "Disabled" - why is that?

Not sure what you mean? ... all I have posted is a screen shot of the mask window view.

Very nice. Perhaps you could post the VEG file at VASST?

The Path and Mode is grayed out until you select the "anchor creation tool".

Hey dragonseyewizard, would you mind if I posted a link to your tutorial on the JetDV Vegas forum?

johnmeyer"Very nice. Perhaps you could post the VEG file at VASST?"

Thanks! I signed up at VASST and uploaded it... not sure where it went from there though? :-)

Here's a link to the .veg file. I've changed the font to a basic sans-serif (Arial) and included a static .jpg of the sunset, not the large animation.

dibbkd"Hey dragonseyewizard, would you mind if I posted a link to your tutorial on the JetDV Vegas forum?"

Sure!

Did you removed the .VEG file link?. The link is not working now. I would like to download your VEG file to use it as a template.

Not sure what happened to it, but it is back up now!
