Credit Roll Plug IN

I have created the text roll with which I want to begin a movie, but the text is a bit distorted and when it scrolls, it is a bit jerky and not really clear creating a rather displeasing appearence. I am sure this is not what the Vegas designers intended to create. Can someone offer some assistance as to how I can clean this up and make the text flow smoothly rather than being distorted and a bit jerky???

Much thanks for any assistance....

It's probably rolling too fast. Slow it down by adjusting the length of the clip.

Is it still jerky after rendering?

To further what PeterWright asked. If you are judging the credit roll purely from the preview window you are likely to be seeing a very jerkey result. That is how preview works in Vegas. It will give you an approximation to what you will get but it will have a reduced frame rate for anything that would require rendering to see fully.

What Preview "mode" are you using? If you are on "Best" mode that will also have an impact on the jerkeyness. Have you tried changing the preview mode to "Preview" or maybe even "Draft" mode rather than "Best-Full" .

In the end... doing a full render of that section will likely show you that it is working just fine.

I use the credit roll quite a bit so I can definitely at least assure you the results come out just fine.

You can also use the "preview to player" which will render and load the rendered bit into your default media player. Or... try using the dynamic ram preview. It won't be full screen, but then you can see what it done w/o using disk space.

Are you doing the credit roll using the credit roll feature, or are you keyframing text?
