I'm totally illiterate with scipts. Newbie here...I'd like to know if there's a script to make all credits with the same length in the timeline (it's so boring adding transitions and calculating time, etc...)
Thanks in advance
What exactly do you need the script to do? Credits are just an event. If you need a script to make all events the same length, then my Set Event Length And Crossfade script on the VASST site should be able to do this for you.
Hi Johnny. I've tried your script and it somewhat does what I need.
If you could change it this way I would be very very grateful:
- Cut off the _beginning_ of each event that start on top of another.
- Make the cut X seconds/millisecs earlier than (left of) the _end_ of the event on which it start on top of (X = user input value).
- Make it possible to select the audio cross-fade type (e.g. as a number from 0 to 40 or how many there are).
Explanation:
When I record long voice-overs and the talent makes an error I stop the recording and chop off the error leaving only the good part. Then I go back and record 5 to 10 seconds prior to the cut and the talent listening in continues the recording on top of the old recording sometimes picking up right after the cut - sometimes "echoing" a short part of the old recording.
To make this sound good I have to go through ALL overlapping recordings and change/move the _beginning_ of the recording on top (the latest one recorded) so that it starts cross-fading between 100 ms and 2 seconds just before the end of the old recording.
If this was done automatically it would save me DAYS. When I record novels I go through hundreds and hundreds of these cuts that need tweaking.
