Crop & Border - At track level

Hi,

I'm encountering an issue that already has been discussed several times in the past years, from what I've seen. Fixes seem to have been published, but as weird as it seems, I still have the issue: The Border filter doesn't apply correctly after a picture Crop on Vegas 19.
Maybe what's different here is that I'm trying to apply it on the track level ? Is there any way to go round this issue ?

(GPU acceleration has been turned off, of course)


I've tried adding filters between the crop and the border to force the picture size to update, to no avail. (I tried with an older version, Vegas 16, exact same issue)

Yeah, that doesn't work. You have to use border at the event level for it to work with pan/crop.

@totol Instead of using the Border effect, you could use a color gradient on the top track for the border. You can use track motion to move and resize the border to fit the cropped image or video. In Color Gradients, there is one called Blue Movie Border you could start with.

My goal was to create a thumbnail in a corner and zoom into the video inside it. (Track motion to reduce the size of the video plus two filters: Crop to simulate a zoom in and Border to smooth edges).

Instead of cropping it I used the SmartZoom filter in Vegas16, with a smaller initial size in track motion, and it works.Need to figure a way to do this on 19.

Use Track Motion to resize it to the corner.

Use Pan/Crop to zoom in on the image.

Use the Track Motion "2D Glow" to get a border around the image or add the Border effect on the track BEFORE the "Composite".
