Crop/Track Motion problem

I just upgraded fro Veg 9 to 11. I noticed that when I use crop or track motion that the timeline within does not correspond in real time to the project timeline. In other words if I want an image to move across the screen and STOP exactly on a certain beat before I could click in the pan/crop section and see the project timeline cursor correspond. Now this does not happen. Any ideas or settings?

I know that this is pretty basic, but is the "Synchronise Cursor" button at the bottom of the Event Pan/Crop window, set to "on"?
