Crop video without loosing sharpness

I have 1280x720p video.
For some reason (would be long to answer why..) i have to save this in 1152x720p format, so cut left and right sides a little.
I set my project properties to 1152x720, and adjust track motion (width and height) of my video track. Preserve aspect, don't distort anything, just cut.
It works but the rendered file will be not as sharp as the 1280 rendered version. I just compared it in a new timeline. Is it because of track motion?

When i crop at event pan/crop window, sharpness remain, but i cannot change every event properties (some of them are animated too..)

Any other solution?
thx

Try rendering out to a lossless or near lossless intermediate file and load back into Vegas. You then only have to crop one event, so you can use pan/crop. Alternatively, you could nest projects to avoid rendering out.

Ah, nesting, i have to try finally :)

edit: left side is ok. I forget to mention its a 3D project. I set project properties to Right only, and nest this project, but the rendered file seems the left again :(
