we cant seem to be able to crop images in vegas, i am overlaying 1 video over another (one is shrunk to quartere size) but i need to crop the black 'mess' around the edges! by holding shift i can crop the top, but thats it, i have tried combinations with ctrl/alt/shift etc but with no success, i want to keep the aspect ratio and just trim a few pixels selectivly on all edges.

any ideas ???

Hi active,

If you want to crop-in on an event and *not* have the image fill the screen, un-tick the "stretch to fill frame" checkbox in lower left of the Pan/crop panel and drag the sides of the cropping tool inward... if you don't see the checkbox, click on the folder icon at the top left of the panel (above the "normal edit tool") to view the pan/crop properties

Then you might use Track-Motion at the track-header to fine-tune your Picture in Picture effect.
