cropping pics

is there a way to crop a picture and still have free range of its motion?

lets say i want to crop a picture to make it look very tall and thin, but i still want to be able to apply motion to it, to be able to key its position around on the screen....how can i do this?.....

Crop using Pan/Crop.

Add motion using Track Motion.

IS THERE no other way?
when dealing with a lot of tracks and a lot of pics, this can become
pretty messy...
isn't there a way to do both, simultaneously, within the pan-crop
window?

Not if you want to crop. If you simply want to move the picture, you can do that with Pan/Crop.

You could always crop beforehand in Photoshop.
