It has been a while now, but I don't recall anything changing in the pan/crop controls from v13 to 14. So should work the same. Maybe post a screen grab showing your own problem and settings.

There are no changes. Just right-click in pan / crop and click "Match Output Aspect".

This is not a Cropping issue. It's doing exactly what you're telling it to do.

You have two choices:

Either: Put your graphic into a 16x9 Plate. Presently you're attempting to PAN across something less than 16x9 with your P/C Controls. It won't happen. You're ending up with exactly what is to be expected.

Or: Don't use P/C. Rather use Track Motion instead. Done.

My suggestion is always to prepare the graphic to fit the Project.

Joe, stop putting yourself through that nonsense.

Create an arrow with a transparent background and save as a .png. MAKE IT BIG.

Create and save a Vegas project at the pixel dimensions of the arrow.

Put your Arrow Vegas project on a track above the tracks in your main project.

Use Track Motion to locate, rotate and resize the arrow.

Here's how:

I just had to add a music track by one of the most creative people to ever breathe.
