Hi-

When I used to edit in linear analog format the standard NTSC color bars I used to place at the begining was very smooth. The edges and color separation were also smooth.

I now noticed with digital editing, that the color bars (taken from the media generators) are just too sharp. The edges are jagged ( I see the staircase all along the black lining and around the color separation). I was viewing this by the preview montior and also did a print to tape with the same results.
The rest of the footage is also the same...if I look very closely I can see the jagged outline.

Although not very noticible to the average person, is this the trade-off of getting a very crisp image? (would there be a smoothness control I could use if I wanted to for the entire project?)
