No problem here.
A projectsetting is not saved through a project "preset", but by saving the project "template" where you can store it by this button

and set it as default template by this button

Interesting - mine doesn't behave that way, in that I can save my template, but when opening a new project later and then selecting that given template, it doesn't show the proper resolution as when it was first saved (and did so exactly as you showed)

Am aware of the default template option, but don't want 2K Scope as my default. Just want the preset to save properly.

Hmmm.. When you made yours, did you save the template, go to another template, and then return to the one you saved without any issues? Just trying to troubleshoot this...

Hello

Have you tried restarting your PC?
Personally, I can save your setting under another name by clicking only on the save icon.
This setting is immediately visible in the drop-down list.

And all the settings are present

I did a reboot and double checked my presets. Setting / saving my preset and accessing my project preset was done just as your video shows. If the project is already set at the custom resolution, (in this case 2048x858) then the custom preset can be selected and it shows correctly. But... if I change the project properties to another resolution (or select another preset) and then attempt to go back to my custom 2K preset, the resolution numbers default to either 1920x1080 or, oddly enough, 3840x1920 .

This is the first time I've ever had this issue, as with previous versions of Vegas (15, 14, 13, 12..) I was able to make custom presets always without any issue.

I'm going to try more tests on this here soon, and do appreciate the feedback.

I wonder if you're seeing what I'm seeing with project templates. I can save a custom template, but it doesn't work later when I select it.

Please follow the previous post's link for a fix (albeit a somewhat drastic one).

Greg-Kintz wrote on 6/17/2019, 1:37 PM

That's VERY interesting and nice to see I am not the only one who has this issue.

It's in another thread, but my "Channel Blend" plugin disappeared in build #424, but (like the custom presets failing to load properly) it seems others also have not had this issue.

Had considered doing a simple uninstall / reinstall, but based on what you went through it sounds like (as you mentioned) a more drastic approach might be needed. Think I'm going to wait on the next version of Vegas and see if the next install of the Vegas build version corrects these issues. If not, I'll try what you did, but there would go a considerable amount of custom presets I had made up. "Uggg.."

Thanks for posting your fix. At least if the next install of a newer version fails, I now will have a Plan B.
