Customize Timecode

Hi,

I'm using Vegas Pro 15. I would like to know if it is possible to customize the timecode (color, font), use only minutes and seconds. And last question, how to stop the timer, the pause does not work.

Thank you all for your help.

If you mean the Workspace TC, then you can't. But if you mean the FX Timecode, then you can.

And last question, how to stop the stopwatch, the pause does not work.

Whats the "stopwatch"?

Nope, you can't. My bad . . . I was thinking of another option, which wont work.

I meant the timer.

I click on Pause Button:

Are you sure Grazie that the Timecode cannot be customised? In MS14 I can alter the text colour, but not the background nor the font. True it is a roundabout method.

Yeah, I tried colour balance too, must've been pulling the wrong levers.

And how to freeze the timecode when I want ?

I'm so sad. Do you know other ways to add a customizable timecode to a video?

Timecode is a frame marker, not a timer. It runs when video runs and stops when the video stops. It sounds like you are looking for a TIMER like a stopwatch. There might be some plugins that do that, but timecode is not the correct option.

As I recall, stopwatches and running time displays inserts (not SMPTE TC per se) was discussed a while ago on the SCS Vegas forum. Perhaps search the achieves, If that's what the OP is seeking.

The "Text Generation Wizzard" of Vegasaur does something like this. It's based on text tool presets by which you can design any font, color, size, etc. It let you select several timecode formats, several step sizes and freezing this timer/clock works same way as freezing a regular Video Event.
