DAL DigitalOnlyCard, CD-Architect, et. al

Howdy!

I am so far very impressed with Vegas. The user interface apears relatively intuitive, and the
features seem pretty robust. I have a few comments and problems:

1.) Documention:
You mention the Track Controls on Page 14 of the PDF, but it does not elaborate, or even
sumarize what each control is for. The help file doesn't even show the I/O selector, and it took
some futzing around after reading Post # and realizing that multiple devices were so simple to
use. The detail you provide on the transport bar is fantastic. It would be very helpful to have
the same level of detail on the track list, mixer, video, and trimmer windows. (read all this
ranting as "I couldn't figure out how the heck to pick which audio input or output I wanted by
track")

2.) Simultaneous Record/Play
When recording from my Digital Only Card, the playback clicks continuously about 2-3 times per
second. I don't seem to have the problem with my Soundblaster, and honestly I haven't done a
lot of Simultanious Record and Playback stuff with other applictaions, but the clicking basically
makes it impossible to do SRP with a single DOC.

3.) CD Architect
Will there be the ability to chain to CD architect? Ideally it would be nice to have PQ
editing and FX Processing output directly to a CD, but with today's HD space, even just the ability
output a .wav file in a format that would allow CD Architect to pick up marks of some type as PQ
entries and track names. It is so much easier and less time consuming to place marks as
you're editing. (My particular application is producing classical concerts for CD where a single wav
file may have multiple Tracks and Indecies)

Overall, I say BRAVO to Vegas. I've been strugling between which weaknesses in other
programs were most tollerable to me, and now it appears that I don't have to!
