_dan_, Cineform codec disappeared

I installed the Cineform NEO HDV demo and tried it out for 15 days. I decided not to purchase it at this time. I uninstalled the demo and now the Cineform codec no longer shows up in Vegas v7.0e. I would have assumed that the uninstall would have restored the Cineform codec that come bundled with Vegas, but it didn't.

Is there a way to restore the original Cineform codec or do I need to re-install Vegas? (Which is going to be a pain since I have customized Vegas extensively and really don't want to go through that again.)

If nothing else...
Set restore point, back up registry &/or disk, whatever method you prefer to preserve your current install -> re-install Vegas & make sure cineform working -> export any/all cineform reg entries -> restore your system & import cineform reg entries?

That's assuming something simple like copying the dll from the setup folder to system32 & registering it with Windows won't work.

OK, I got it back. I have another machine with Vegas 7 on it. I copied "c:\windows\system32\cfhd.dll" from this machine to the one with the missing codec. I ran "regsvr32 cfhd.dll" but that didn't completely do it. I got into regedit on the "good" machine and then recreated all the registry entries that referenced "cfhd.dll" into the registry on the "problem" machine. The v2.5 codec returned and is functional.
