It's nothing you can do in Vegas. There are software packages out there that produce DCP packages, but they are very expensive. If this is just on once-in-a-while or one-off DCP project for you, better to let a service bureau do it.

What you can do in Vegas Pro is render your project to a DPX image sequence and sound to uncompressed wave (24 bit, 48 or 96 kHz, each channel to a separate file). Then you could use e.g. OpenDCP to do the DCP conversion and packaging. It's a free-of-cost-solution and it works fine.

Yeah, found that Open DPC , but am just staring at the interface wondering what to do.
Sort of like when the car acts up and I open the hood and just look.
Thanks for the clue Marco.
Encoding will be a tall order for one as technically challenged as I!
Here goes nothing.

Marco, now I have all these DPX files.
The interface defaults to MXF, and doesn't seem to allow me to enter the files into the "picture" window.
Is there a manual somewhere I wonder?

It is asking for MXF files.
Should I render out to MXF.
Not getting this.

I'm running short of time at the moment. Maybe the OpenDCP documentation helps you getting some steps further.

Documentation is somewhat helpful.
But this is a complex and time-consuming process.
I'll leave it to a production house.
Thanks anyway, Marco.
