I'm shooting with
- vid HD camcorder (MTS),
- Canon S95 (quicktime mov @ 23.976 FPS),
- GoHD Pro (MP4 in AVC -- sometimes at 59.940 fps and sometimes at 1/2 that)
I typically want to put these together in one movie.
I'm looking for advice on how to deal with the frame rates and file types best. Eugenia helped me out in getting Vegas Movie Studio Platinum to not CRASH (yay!) and I've successfully rendered using MainConcept after looking at her blog post here(http://eugenia.queru.com/images/mainconcept1.png)
I've followed the render settings she shows here -- except I tried checking the checkbox "allow source to adjust frame rate" in the theory that the video would change its frame rate as it played (! is that realistic?) and give me the best results.
What I see is REALLY jerky video when showing the S95 (Quicktime 24fps) video.
So:
- anyone have specific advice for best practice in dealing with this?
- what the heck does that "allow source to adjust frame rate" checkbox do? Should I set it or not?
THANK YOU!
