I have yet to have any use for the .vidcap files. I always press [Cancel] when VideoCapture asks where i want it saved. Personally i'd love to be able to disable that feature. I will admit though that my projects tend to be all from one tape, and all the capturing is done in one session. I imagine that a larger project with many tapes captured over a long period of time would benefit from the record keeping that the .vidcap files provide, but to be honest i don't even have a clue what they do provide.
I guess my advice is, if you haven't needed to worry about .vidcap files, then don't worry about them.
Chienworks - thanks for the reassurance. As you probably know, from my previous posts I'm a "Dazzler" ie DV IN with no timecode references, I was concerned that default.sfvidcap files would wish to store "something" that would make my present Print TO Tape problem go wongky! Chienworks if you have anything you can assist me on this I would reeeeally appreciate it.
