This issue was visited a few months back, but something still doesn't seem right:
I want to be able to have VV3 include only certain FX for both audio and video tracks when creating a new project. I know that one can set up a track with the appropriate FX, then right-click on the header and select "Set Default Track Properties." In this way, any time I bring a new track into VV3, it will have those same effects in the chain.
The problem is that the effects are there, all right, but they're also checked, meaning that they're in the processing loop. Even if each effect is set to the "none" or "no change" position, the fact that it is in the loop means that renders will really bog down.
In other words, I want the FX to default to being "unchecked" when I open a new track. Can it be done? From my experience, it can't.
