Defining Default Text Attributes/Very New and Confused

Brand new user. Simple objective but cannot figure out how to do it (and if its already been answered guess I didn't get it). If someone would kindly indulge me with a step by step answer. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Objective: Want to set specific default attributes for opening "credits" for mini-"movie" (i.e., specify background color, color and style font). I've noticed featues that allow you to pick certain preset set-ups but want to do my own.

I don't want to have to set up each attribute for every "slide" and don't want to use the rolling credit feature. The best I've been able to figure out is to copy the first slide/screen and then go in a manually adjust the the text. Still cumbersome and I'm guess'in there is a better way.

Question #2 - - what is the shortcut for inserting Text. I see it in the pull down window but doesn't identify shortcut key.

Again, thank you.

It sounds like you understand how to modify the text attributes OK. Once you have them the way you want, go up to the Preset: entry field and give it a name and then press the floppy disk icon just to the right to save it to the list. This will save your preset. The next time you add that type of media, just select your new preset from the list.

The quickest shortcut I’ve found for inserting text is to right click on the timeline and select Insert Generated Media and then select Sonic Foundry Text.
