Sometimes when I insert a transition 1 frame of the previous event shows up beyond the transition. How can I prevent this and How can I delete a single frame?

Not sure why th9is would happen unless your frame rates are not the same.
To delete one frame you should be ablt to zoom in to one frame increments and split off the offending frame.
