Delete 3. Party Audio Plugins?

I have lots of third party audio plugins listed in the Vegas 3. Party Plugin folder. Most of them came on the system when I tested demo software but the plugins remained anywhere even after deinstalling the software. And them are absolutely useless to me because they don't work in Vegas.

Is there any way to get rid of those useless third party audio plugins? I can't delete them from within the Vegas Plugin folder and I have no glue where to find the files else on the system.

Get the free DXMan from AnalogX. It will give you total control over managing all of your DirectX plug-ins including uninstalling ones that are dead.

Thanks John. This tool is exactly was I was looking for. Unfortunately it does not help, at least not in a direct way. It actually shows all the DirectX plugins and the ones I am looking for even are displayed in there. But the status of them displays: "not existing". So I can't delete them.

But it helps in a way as I think I can be sure there are no more any dll or ax files available on my system. Cause Vegas and this tool are still displaying these plugins I asume the info about them can be taken only from the Windows Registry. So I start searching for Registry areas to find them now.

I wasn't that far with my assumption. There were Registry corpse left of some plugins of which no dll or ax file did exist no more. I found the Registry files in "hkey local machine/software/Sony Media Software/Vegas/5.0 (and 6.0)/DXCache. Deleted them and it's fine now.

Thanks for the help. I think this tool DXMan will still be valuable for me.
