Delete Default.sfvidcap?

Hello,

I have Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 on WIndowsXP PC. It seemed to have inserted this file below my subfolders...

C:\My Documents...
My Accounts
My Docs
My Library
My Pictures
Default.sfvidcap 1KB <------

I really don't use Vegas much, might in future, had a few questions, would greatly appreciate insights...

1) What are some examples of settings that are in this defaults file?

2) I really like to clean up PC from time to time, keep a pure "tree" structure, and delete files that are alone in a folder that otherwise has lots of subfolders (please just accept for now...)

So, if I delete the "Default.sfvidcap" file (which of course erases settings I've made in Vegas), will it just put the file back later? And 'when' does it put the file back? (Is if the first time I start/open Vegas Movie Studio again?)

3) What if I move this file to another folder like under "My Videos"? Will it ignore the moved one and start all over with a blank/default new file...back under My Documents again?

Thanks,
George

I think this file stores information about tape name and time etc. in a capture project, which then can be read by DVDA and Vegas. It is only of use if you use more than one tape in an editing project, so when you're working on a really complex project.
You can delete the file if you like, you'll still be able to edit the captured video, but of course you will lose the tape information. Vegas will not re-create the file on launch, you can only get the file back by re-capturing the tape(s).
