Delete every other frame automatible?

Would it be possible to have Vegas delete every other frame. I know it could probably done real easily with scripting but know nothing of it. Basically like a strobe effect but I want other tracks to show through in-between the deleted frames This produces some cool effects I have tried but it is a real pain in the arse to manually do this. So I am asking any of the script kiddies to help me out....

Shogosan,

Here's another way. Use 2 generated media to create a frame of black and a frame of white. Render these out to a 2 frame long uncompressed file. (compressed would probably be fine here as well.) You can drag this out as long as you want.

Now use this as a mask track and tie it to your footage. It will mask out every other frame and show the track below. Next thing you know you'll be crying blood because the strobe will be so painful.

SORRY Shogo : . . I just did it COMPLETELY in Excalibur.

1 - Place makers every Frame 00:00:00,01

2 - Run Multicam Wizard using the 2 camera option

However you can use Tsunami to remove MArkers . . .

Me BAD Grazie

Shogo, it was a 16 second piece and produced something like 600 edits! Did it all in about 30 seconds . . that's on a WinME machine running at 1ghtz with 256 RAM. Very fast, very easy and very . . interesting? . .Thanks for forcing me to try something out that I'd put on the back burner for sometime now. Strobing? Oh yes plenty of it. You may wanna give your audience a warning about a Strobe effect . . very strong . . phew . .the neat thing about Excalibur is that you can keep on experimenting with the Marker time-lengths. If you don't like what you see . set up new makers at diffrent/longer time spaces - yeah? - Well it works and it is . . . wierd!!!

Thanks all this will work both ways I think. Question with excalibur can you specify what frames to cut .ie every 3 frames or 5 frames? May need to buy it I guess

Excalibur can easily add markers for any set number of frames. So, if you wanted 3 on 3 off instead of 1 on 1 off, that could also be easily done with Grazie's method. However, if you wanted 3 on 1 off, that would be much more difficult to achieve.
