Delete Time

Is there a way to delete time much like the way insert time works. I mistakingly left an empty 10 seconds of time in the middle of my photo slideshow. Now I have all 3 levels of photos, text and video that need to be moved over 10 seconds and remain in the exact position that they are in. I was thinking that I may have to group all the items together and move them all at once but I have over 200 items. I was wondering if there was an easier way to do this.

Turn ripple edits on
Drag the mouse across the empty 10 seconds. You should see the light blue "loop selection" with yellow markers at the top covering all your tracks and filling your empty 10 seconds.
Hit delete, or choose Edit->Delete.

The empty space will be removed and everything to the right will shift left.

You can also select the empty time by double clicking on it.

Ian, I double-click on the empty space and it becomes "selected". I hit the [delete] key and nothing happens. Same with trying edit -->delete. Nothing. Why do you suppose I can't delete the empty space?

Gerry, you also need to follow bwilliamson's advice to switch ripple edits on.

Sigh, if only I'd learn to read. Thanks Ian, worked like a charm! :)
