Delete unused clips from bin & delete from disk?

When you import a bunch of short clips then drag each one down to the time line to review it for usability... and leave the good ones on the time line but not the bad ones...

Now in the bin you have clips that are on the timeline and clips that are not because you deemed them no good or not useable.

Is there a way to have Vegas delete the ones from the bin that are not on the timeline AND also delete them from the disk?

Otherwise you have to just leave them on your disk cluttering up the folder(s) or you have to manually match up the ones in Vegas that you want to keep and manually delete the ones you don't want from the disk.

Thanks

Go to the Project Media window, select the file/s you want to delete, right click them and select 'Remove from Project and Delete File/s'. But it's a good idea to have the original clips retained elsewhere ... just in case you want to use them later.

+1 to what Dexcon says about keeping the original files. I often shoot more than I need but I never permanently delete anything as it may be used in a future project. Hard drives are so cheap these days that more storage is no longer an issue that I worry about.
