SPOT is bound by the copyright as much as anyone who holds it.
You could call it writers block I suppose! ;)

Credentials, my boy. Credentials. Every single one of us would like a copy, FREE, to review. (Please, Spot!) But, most of us are not in THAT business, and you are not either, from what I can see. Your diatribes don't qualify you as a "Critic." Only a complainer.

I've reviewed quite a few books, but I know that my credentials don't qualify me to review THAT book. So, I didn't embarass myself by begging. (And I know better than insult the man before begging, too.)

Yeah, Sony, can I have a free copy of Vegas and Sound Forge and DVD-A, just for evaluation and review purposes....really that's all I want to use them for, then I will throw them away, I promise ;)

What "Other" book? I have 3 books in the works right now, probably have one finished this week. We'll be announcing several books shortly. None are related specifically to Vegas, we'll be holding that particular book for a while yet.
Zippy, RBartlett is right, I'm bound by copyright to not provide more than 200 words from the book without the publisher being involved. Unless you have a history of reviewing books, products, or services with references and verifications of your writings, you don't fall in to the category of 'critic.' Sorry. Aside from that, there are MANY reviews of the book, most of them favorable or mostly favorable, on the DMN, FastForward, and one or two other sites, plus in magazines as well. Since you seem to want "honest, which I read as meaning 'nasty,' there is one of those, too. I can point you there if you'd like.
I know Amazon has a great deal on the book, and I hear Sony has a good deal going too. Thanks for being interested though.
