Locking an event means it won't move at all, so watch out for that when using ripple.
Grouping an event with one or more others is used when you want them all to move "as one"
If an event is locked, you can't add it to a group.

I try to avoid it as much as I can since after grouping, the audio and video tracks won't lock again if you un-group some moment later (can't change your mind...)
